Huston we’ve got a problem! With our vet. Well, I got the problem, Ami loves him to pieces for some strange reason. First of all, that Vet is the only Vet I can reach without help, else I would never even consider him. It’s not like he is not friendly or so. No, that’s not it. And Ami is totally nuts about him, which I fail to understand. That guy is just totally incompetent and lazy beyond your wildest imagination.
Some weeks ago Ami started to have trouble with her right front leg. She started to founder. So I made a vet app right away to have it checked out. He just looked at her leg and handed me some pain killers and told me that it “might be just an inflammation”. Back at home I started with my own research. I know, it’s quite common in dogs to have problems with joints and sinews. First I got some dietary supplement for her that’s made for that matter but on closer inspection I figured that it wouldn’t help much, if at all. Way to much useless filling agent and way to little active ingredient.
A friend of mine recommended a herbalist she gets stuff for her horse from. She got a herbal mix made just for that problem. That and 2.5 g MSM every day made her feel much better. I even noticed a change in the way she moves. Overall very positive change but now and then she still founders. So back to the vet. He looks at her leg, listened to my treatments (and it seemed he agreed with it) and then he grabs in his shelf and wants to hand me pain killers again. What the hell is wrong with you dude. Stop guessing and stop selling me useless pills that don’t do good. Diagnostic would be nice. I told him I want an x ray to figure it out and he was like “mumblemumble but I haven’t located it yet”. That was the point where I almost snapped. It’s her leg you dimwit and that’s why we gonna do an x ray now. To locate the exact spot in her leg that makes her founder. That’s called diagnostic. You should know that.
You know, the point is, he makes more money with guessing and handing out useless pills than to do a proper diagnosis followed by the right treatment. So tomorrow at 11.15 am we got our x ray app. Please cross finger for her that it is nothing serious. Have a pawesome and be be safe out there. ❤
So there is this German TV show, very small production I think and not even very popular. It’s about spoiled teenagers who get send to a monastery/cloister for a week to get their attitude straight. That includes no cellphones, TV and that like, no smoking, no drugs, no alcohol, no make up, no social media. Instead getting up with the sun and working for their community. I find it quite funny. There was this elderly nun. She must have been in her 80th, totally sweet lady. She was talking to one of the candidates, a 16 years young brat who never did anything useful in her life. The nun asked her what she would like to do with her life, what she would like to accomplish in her life and that girl responded “I want to be an influencer”. The nun looked at her, thinking for a sec and trying to make sense of what she just heard, and then she said: “Oh Influenza, ya that’s not nice to have!” You need to know that both words sound nearly identical. This old nun nailed it without knowing what she did. Influencer are as annoying and useless like Influenza. =p Have a pawesome day everybody and be safe out there. ❤
As you can see, our weather is finally starting to catch up to the calendar. We love this kind of weather. As it gets more nasty outside, it’s getting more cozy inside. There might even be a heavy storm on the way and much more rain. Have a pawesome day and be safe out there.
Here you see a poster that was designed by our city government and plastered all over the place. It informs us about a 50 Euro fine if we fail to clean up after our dogs. In general I agree with that and I believe that it should be a matter of course and respect that we clean up after our dogs. Actually it is quite embarrassing that some people need to be reminded, yet even forced to to do that. So what’s the point here? Hang on, we are getting there.
Every time you want to establish an administrative act, you need to make sure you are willing an able to enforce it, else it would be as effective as a hedgehog fart. In this case the city government wants to establish a fine for not cleaned up poop. In order to get to that money they will have to bust people right when it is happening, else you can not prove who did it. They would actually have lots of people patrolling at least those areas most frequented by dogs on walkies. Did that happen? Nope! And people still don’t clean up after there dogs simply because they are ignorant idiots and nothing happens anyway. Hedgehog Fart right there!
And now we get to the point. Here you see a public trash can. The same people who are responsible for that poster are in charge of emptying the public trash cans. You see, lots of people are cleaning up behind their dogs but the city administration fails to do their job. It is their responsibility to keep these can’s clean, tidy and empty but for some strange reason they just don’t do it. And it’s not like we would have tons of public trash cans. They got rid of most of them but still, they fail to empty those few left. Now I wonder, do they have to pay a fine to us, the tax payers?
This story is about preconceptions and how life proves them wrong in a very funny way. I think most of us are not free of preconceptions, right? I mean, I see a tax officer and think “quick, shoot it”, but I’m sure there are fair and kind tax officers out there . . . somewhere . . . maybe . . . naaa just shoot it. This was a stupid example but I’m sure you totally get what I mean, right? It happened last week. Ami had a walkies date with her best buddy Mr. D. He is the most adorable apple head chihuahua. Yes, this combo seems odd, a rather chunky (don’t tell her I said that) Old English Bulldog and this 15 cm / 6 inches bundle of cuteness, but they complete each other somehow. He is a huge dog in a tiny body and Ami is a tiny dog in a huge body. So we where walking through the local nature preserve. The path there can get pretty narrow at some points, less than a meter, so we where walking one after another, Ami and I first, Mr. D and his mom right after us.
We where just at a especially tight spot when a woman with a beautiful border collie came from ahead. As she walked closer she first looked at Ami and then she asked me “is it dangerous?”. And I’m like yes totally savage, be aware. Inside I was rolling my eyes at her. So she sneaked by on tiptoes. Ami didn’t even look at them, totally boring to her. And then they reached Mr. D . . . . GROWLROARDROOLSNARLGROWL!!! He totally made clear that he is no nonsense and that he doesn’t appreciate people looking funny at us. 6 inches total savageness. *grins* I love that little guy so much. Ami does too. And that woman maybe learned something. Things often are not what they look like. Have a pawesome day everybody and be safe out there.
