First daffodil of the year. The nights are freezing but the days are filled with sunshine. Enough sunshine to wake up all the flowers. I just love spring. Have a great day and be safe. ❤
Sunday! That means early morning adventure for us but you can see already that spring is here. When we left home at 6.30 am dawn was in full swing. Just 4 weeks ago it would have been pitch black at that time. The main reason why we walk that early on a Sunday is, that we are alone. Nobody else around at that time. Now we spring kicking in and nights getting way shorter, we have to figure out what time we have to start so we can walk in peace. Ones the weather gets nicer, others might get the same idea. hmpf! We had a solid frost over night, the air is soooo clean and crisp, totally love it. Ami is complaining because frozen earth doesn’t sniff. =p But we had a ton of fun.
Moss comes in many shapes and colors. Most people do never notice it, but it is actually one of mother natures masterpieces. It can live almost everywhere, it’s a water reservoir and home to many tiny species. Since centuries it served as building material for us humans too, it’s extremely useful for a lot of things. As long as there is moss, there will be life.
See that really big pheasant over there? Nowadays there is one of these on every single meadow, walking around in small circles to show off how awesome they are. They are all looking for a mate. Mating season has started here.
