Ancient Willow

There is that really ancient willow right beside the trail we often walk. Twice a year, every year, in spring and in fall, tons of these small mushrooms grow in it’s trunk. It’s like they want to make the change of the season.

Chestnut

Still young chestnut. Red blossoms are kinda rare to our area. They recently cut away quite a few of her branches. They where reaching far over the fence down to the sidewalk. It was kinda magical.

Ancient Beauty

Same street, different tree, This is one of those ancient apple trees we got here in our area. These trees are very tough, they carry a lot of very small very sour but still very aromatic apples. They are awesome for apple pie in the fall.

Farewell old Friend

Yesterday a brief storm rampaged through our lil corner of our planet. On it’s way out it it nudged the tree I enjoyed every day for the past 17 years. The tree threatened to topple over on the house beside it. This was the last picture taken half an hour before they took him down. I’m very sad to see him go.
