“What’s one habit that has improved your life the most?”

It wasn’t a habit, it was my dog. She then brought some habits with her that improved my life a lot beside the other benefits, like much more joy, funny moments, true friendship, security and lots of snuggles. The habits that came with her are daily walkies, a solid structure and a snoring dog in your bed. All of them are very good for your mental and physical health. Before I had her with me I never left the house ever. All my joints where aching from not using them and my endurance was below zero. She changed that very fast. No more pain in my joints and my endurance is back too. The structure comes naturally with a dog. Walkies at the same time every day regardless of the weather and if you ever owned a dog, you will know what happens if dinner is half an hour late. Believe me, you do not want that.
By far the best habit is, the dog in your bed. Yeah I hear a lot of you screaming already “eeeww dog in my bed, will never happen” but let me tell you, there was a study (a legit scientific study) that women sleep much better with a dog in their beds then with a man. We feel safer and calmer, let alone the warmth during cold winter nights. And yes, to keep the “eeewww factor” away, you’ll need to wash your bedding more often than people without dogs but since your washing machine does the washing, that shouldn’t be a problem.,
A dog is not a habit, but we should make it a habit to have at least one in our lives.
