The cookie cutter arrived and I purchased a book full with dog cookie recipes. Today I gave one of those new ones a try and I have to say we both are pretty pleased. They where fun to make, easy too and Amy seems to love them. They are quite crunchy and I think they might have a longer shelf live than the first ones. So in theory I could bake a month supply but at least for 2 weeks. The base recipe will last maybe a week (depends on how good Amy is with her staring me down). Oh and I used spelt flour instead of wheat flour. because it is better for dogs. wheat can sometimes lead to allergies and spelt flour doesn’t. Actually, these dog cookies are human grade food. There are only natural high quality things in it and that is why homemade is so much better than store bought, let alone the price. One weeks of treats from Lidle goes for about 12 – 16 Euros. These ones maybe 4 Euros (incl. the power for the oven).
