One of my favorite things to do is, to learn new things. That can be all sorts of things but I think knitting and crocheting are the most fun things to learn more about. So, I stumbled about that lovely YouTube channel named “Samantha Clair Crochet”. Her tutorials are very pleasant to follow, she has the most cute designs and she does the tutorials for left and right handed people (yes, that actually matters). So far she is the only one who offers that level of service. Very cool! What I love about Granny Squares is, that they are done quickly. Unlike socks that can take forever, you can finish a pretty square in just minutes. Then you can have a lot of variety, just do different patterns just with matching yarn and size and later when you got enough squares you can make all sorts of stuff with them. Actually they are little bit like Legos. I’m off for more and you have a wonderful day and stay safe. đź’–

You know that? Your computer stops to do what it is supposed to do and you just can’t find a valid reason for it no matter what. I had it happen again. See, usually it works this way: I take a photo with my iPhone, the iPhone pushes it into the cloud and the cloud then hands it over to the Windows 🤮 desktop PC. Then I fire up Gimp, resize the photo (doesn’t make sense to upload this ginormous photo since most people look at it on their tiny phone screens) and often frame it. After that I upload and post it here. I’m sure, for most of you this sounds ridiculous cumbersome, but look, I hate to type on my phone, it annoys the living daylight outta me. That tiny screen and this impossible “keyboard”. I just need my comfy traditional keyboard, where I can type blind with all ten fingers. And I enjoy my big screen where I can see everything clearly. Yes, it might be very old school, but I like it that way. Don’t get my wrong, I do a ton of things with my cell phone, just not posting.
However, about 2 days ago my desktop started to refuse to talk to the cloud. The iPhone would upload to the cloud but the communication between cloud and desktop would not happen and I couldn’t find a reason for it. Soooo annoying and I had to find a way how to get my photos up here. I dodged the WP app for mobiles the past 2 years but it looked like now was the time to give in. And if only to get the photos up to my media library, then I could do the post as usual with my desktop. It worked like a charm but I still wanted the option to resize and frame the photos. So I rummaged through the app store. Had a look at PS but figured to my own surprise that I do not like it at all. Then I found that little piece of software that is perfect for me and even better, the sub fee is more than fair. So I got that too and I’m a happy camper again.
This morning I checked my photo folder on my desktop again, just out of curiosity and surprise, they are talking again. All the new photos arrived on my desktop. Oh well, the way I see it, something really annoying brought new options for me. I’m happy it all worked out that well. Have fun and be safe. đź’–
