My Smart Phone

Bumblebee

So, what the heck has my smart phone to do with this photo you ask? Well, I’ll tell ya! In 2005 I got rid of every phone in my life along with the TV. Then about 4 years ago I figured it could be time to get a new cell phone. My bank told me that I would need one sooner or later because the law would now require another security step for credit card users. Also, mobile banking would hit us all (ya by now they closed the locale branch just to make sure you have no choice). So I gave in and eventually got a cell phone (brand does not matter here). Now what? I had a phone but beside banking stuff and audio books (you bet, I got quite the collection by now) I didn’t really have use for it. Nobody to communicate with, beside getting a doctors appointment ones a year or yelling at the insurance now and then. I also don’t do social media. Nope, not at all. Well I tried FB and Instagram just to see if I was right but the entire concept is so absurd to me. People fill that guys website with content (most of it trash), give him their data and get annoyed by advertisements about things nobody really needs. Seriously? Why should I do that?

So what else are these phones good for? Well I love my weather app and there is a very useful app for knitting (helps you to count your rows and stuff). Also there is a Mahjong game I really love. But all this is just secondary because the one thing I really really use my cell phone for is to take photos. I never thought I would enjoy it so much. Since I don’t stare at FB while we are on walkies I have plenty of time to look around and discover all sorts of photo worthy things. Nothing, really nothing, beats the beauty of nature.

Be safe and have a pawesome day.
