There is that really ancient willow right beside the trail we often walk. Twice a year, every year, in spring and in fall, tons of these small mushrooms grow in it’s trunk. It’s like they want to make the change of the season.
We love our early morning walkies in fall. The air is clear and crisp, the light is very special. Also, Ami thinks that everything smells extra interesting and good. All those leaves and stuff.
I don’t know the real name of this plant but as kids we called them snow berries. They only appear in fall and when you step on them they make a pop sound. Very curious.
