The day before it was unusual hot here and during the night we had thunderstorm. Temps still high and humidity at 83 %. The plants love it and we love our AC. =p
Foxglove or Fingerhut (thimble) in German. Beautiful flower with lots of uses and a legend attached to it. It is very poisonous but at the same time it’s a powerful medicine for cardiac insufficiency. The Irish have the legend that the blossoms served as hats for the fairy folk and those fairies gifted them to foxes as gloves (hence the name) so they could more easily sneak into the chicken coop.
