The Phlox is a truly international plant with a huge family. Here in Germany it actually won the award “Shrub of the Year 2006”. It’s only use it just to look pretty and therefor make us humans happy. Note to self: the focus is all over the place again, just not where you wanted it. hmpf
Another Himalaya Balsam, this time in a beautiful soft purple. Still too hot to roam around outside and hunt for photos, so that’s the chance for all the photos in my folder to make it to the blog. =p Stay cool everybody, be safe and healthy and have a pawtastic weekend. ❤
It is actually too hot for long walkies. Not only is the sun burning like a bunny on crack, the ground also is too hot for dog paws. The risk that she would hurt her paws before we get to the nature preserve where the path is save for paws is way to high, so we just went out for potty and the back to the AC inside. Stay cool everybody, be safe and healthy. ❤
This beauty originates from the USA. It’s the national flower of the states Nebraska (1895) and Kentucky (1926). It also serves as healing herbs for different things plus it can be used as dye.
Or Indian Balsam. This plan origins in, well you guessed it, the Indian subcontinent. Nowadays you can find it in the US and Europe as well. Here in Germany it earned the award “Alien of the Year 2018” (not kidding). They are actually very important and very good to have around since they serve as food for honey bees.
