The upper picture was taken on march, 20th, this year. The of the herbs where purchased at a local garden center, the parsley was actually from the grocery store and survived the entire winter in just that small plastic container. Now it lives in my herb bed. The lower picture was taken yesterday. As you can see, the mint kinda exploded. The nasturtium seed I dropped in there sprouted too. Guess I need a bigger herb bed.
We had a front yard like millions of other front yards across Germany, boring, useless lawn. Then my landlord, and one of my closest friends, turned it into a wild flower meadow. Don’t get me wrong now, it took a ton of work to get where it is today (3rd year now) but it was totally worth it. Lawn is useless and doesn’t provide anything, except work. Wild flower meadows provide a habitat for all the insects we depend on, like bees, bumble bees, etc. And it looks so much better.
